合金188是一款钴基特种合金，拥有独特的高温强度和耐氧化性能，在长时间暴露在1400-1600°F温度范围后仍然具有充分的延展性。 钴基合金和镍基合金相比，具有与生俱来的高温蠕变性能。合金188固溶强化时加入了14%的钨元素，之后加入了M6C和M23C6碳化物。合金188容易加工，手工和自动焊接都适用，焊接方式有电子束，钨极气体氩弧焊和电阻焊。
